JAIPUR
Jaipur, the Pink City, is the capital of Rajasthan, with a population of nearly two million. (The 'pink' bit is actually only colour wash , which is a disappointment in one way, but rather fun in another.) The city is an exciting lively place to visit, though it is very polluted. We stayed at the Bissau Palace Hotel ,which was a quiet and comfortable oasis. To our surpise we saw a whitebreasted kingfisher in the garden.
